Stewart H. Cupps, Esq.
Stu practices in the area of consumer and business bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, and general litigation. Prior to forming Cupps & Garrison with his partner Travis Garrison, Stu practiced with Kegler, Brown, Hill & Ritter Co., LPA in Columbus, Ohio and with Dinsmore & Shohl, LLP., in Cincinnati, Ohio where he practiced in those firms’ bankruptcy practice groups. Before then, Stu served as the law clerk to the Honorable Robert E. Grant, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Indiana, from 2000 to 2002. Stu was recently selected as an “Ohio Rising Star” by Law and Politics Magazine in 2007, 2009 and 2010.Stu has represented clients (including creditors, trustees, debtors and committees) in all phases of bankruptcy cases and proceedings in local, regional and national cases including bankruptcy appeals. Stu has advised clients of all sizes, from international creditor clients in large Chapter 11 cases to small business owners and individuals in consumer bankruptcy cases. Stu has also handled a wide array of general business and litigation matters and has a particular interest in the rules governing electronic discovery in litigation.
